Rumana- Business owner from Bangladesh
My name is Rumana Akter. I live in Barishal with my husband and children. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of having my own company, but being a young woman I found myself faced with a lot of obstacles. However, I took part in the entrepreneurship training of EYW and with the support of the project and my family, I was able to launch my own business. I now have my own poultry, fish farming and vegetable business, and I even employ two part-time workers. I feel empowered and I want to inspire other women to do something for themselves.
